Problem Note 42526: Values for SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager event and process variables are cleared from downstream nodes after the variables have been edited
When you change an event or process variable in a decision diagram or campaign, its assignments are cleared from downstream nodes. This change occurs when the diagram or campaign is closed and reopened in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio. There are some minor changes to variables in which this behavior might be unexpected:
- The display name is all that is changed.
- An identifier is added or changed.
- The type is changed from a scalar to a list of the same type.
- The value for the Required check box that is associated with the variable is changed.
When you reopen a diagram or campaign after such a change, you will see a dialog box with the following message:
The event request variables for the {0} node have changed since this diagram was last opened.
There is no workaround for this behavior other than to go through the diagram and reassign the values in downstream nodes.
